What are the best foods to eat to lose weight

It's important to follow a good diet plan that tells you the indicators for identifying what you should be eating, not follow some top-X list online (they're still useful of course, don't get me wrong). But try to understand the principles of selecting the most approapriate foods.

As a general rule of thumb, I would personally try to make my own food as much as possible. I understand that given specific circumstances this is't always an option, but yeah. Anyway, here is my personal top10 list:

#10 – Veggie burger
Forget fast food, as this is a much healthier alternative, especially if you make it yourself. And yes, it can be just as delicious. What you put in is entirely up to you: try onions, tomatoes and cheese for instance. Some lettuce is a must, I would figure. Add ketchup and some spices if you want, but don't overdo it.

#9 – Tossed salad
Try spicing it up with beans, peas and raisins to make it more interesting. Hey, you might even want to toss in some fruit if that's what rocks your boat. That's a good idea solely for the sake of vitamin C you consume that way.

#8 - Eggs
You know what the thing with them is? They remain inside your stomach longer, making you less hungry, so you won't need to stuff your mouth every couple of hours. Neat, huh?

#7 – Chicken soup
It achieves a similar effect as eggs, so you won't feel that hungry. This is true for most soups out there.

#6 - Pasta
Full of vitamins and pottasium. Add your favorite sauce on top, and you're a winner.

#5 - Tofu
It might seem a bit light, but don't be fooled by its looks. It makes you less hungry after you're done eating it, and you won't feel hunger for hours after. I took this idea straight out of some scientific research and wow, it sure does work.

#4 - Cereal
Any high-fiber cereal will do. I know I might sound like a broken record at this point, but not feeling hungry will cause you to eat less. Quick tip: cereal is in that group.

#3 – Brown rice
Yummy! Mix with soya sauce and you're on the go. And be sure to mix some carrots in. That alone can be a low-carb meal worth having.

#2 – Beef steak
Certainly one of the most delicious ways to lose weight, as it's known around the block. Aim for organic beef to make the most out of it.

And finally, we come to:

#1 – Fruit salad
Obviously, this is my favorite because it tastes like heaven. Strawberries, cut banana pieces and oranges are my kind of thing, but of course you can do it the way you like. Grapes are awesome too.
